The use of cards to or “chips” to open doors and scan attendance times has been around for a long time.
The use of the NFC technology means that these cards can also be used in mainstream devices, you cant scan a MIFARE or RFID tag on a mobile device that doenst have purpose-built hardware but you can scan an NFC tag with any generic mobile device.
